Michael D. Deblock

Chief Executive Advisor
Michael D. DeBlock is Chief Executive Advisor, Axis Designs, since 2017 and has been instrumental within corporate development along with Sales and Marketing management.

Michael is an experienced commercial leader with a career focused on building and growing companies. His depth of experience stemming from Business- IT Technology background for over 30 plus years within the financial industry globally.

Prior to advising for Axis Designs, Michael was Chief Executive Advisor for Align Communication New York and Market Communications New York and led the Global Sales and Business development efforts.

Michael spent over 25 years with IPC information systems and held various Global leadership positions in sales – operation – marketing functions in addition to acquisition – and building out multiple US branch locations and Canada-Mexico-Latin America EMEA distribution locations.

Jim Bruce

Vice President Business Development
Jim joined Axis Designs in March 2024 after a 34-year career in contract food service, retail management, hospitality, higher education, and facilities management services.

As the Vice the President of Business Development at Axis Designs, he leads the sales process from contact to conclusion, helping clients create beautiful and functional spaces. He has expertise in managing dynamic environments and a proven ability to work with diverse groups of clients and industries to execute strategy and measure results. He is a leader who is passionate about food and how food service design plays an integral part of the employer experience.

With an MBA in finance, he is recognized as a trusted advisor and consultant to clients and executives in the design development, and management of retail cafes, catering, franchise and fine dining operations. Jim’s areas of experience include food/project/construction management, sales, marketing, team development and training.

Cassey Shatters

Design & Project Director/Installation Coordinator
Casey joined the Axis Designs team in 1998 while going to college for Computer-Aided Design.

In the 25 plus years of employment Casey has grown with Axis and taken on many roles during his lengthy employment. The current role includes quoting, design & spec, fabrication approval drawings, logistics coordination, installation coordination, and lead installer among other roles. He has been a part of an incredible team that has turned Axis Designs into a one stop shop for business and industry contract foodservice locations all over the USA as well and Mexico and Canada. He looks forward to continual growth with Axis Designs and his zero-punch list installation team.

Dan Foelske

Vice President of Operations and Controller
Dan joined Axis Designs in September 2019 in the role of Vice President of Operations and Controller. With more than 25 years of experience in manufacturing operations, human resources and recruiting, finance and management systems, Dan is an important addition to the Axis Team.

Dan has begun applying many of the management principles at Axis that he called upon to successfully guide growth and development of companies in the metals manufacturing, plastic injection molding and precision metal stamping industries. In addition to manufacturing experience, Dan spent 11 years working in financial services

Greg Schmitt

Quoting & Procurement Manager
Greg Schmitt has been with Axis Designs for over 9 years. Greg started with Axis Designs as a fabricator in the shop, then moved into the office taking the role of estimator and designer.

Prior to Axis Designs, Greg worked as a land surveyor and as an engineer for prefabricated roof and floor trusses.

Jack Macdonald

Sales Representative
Jack joined the Axis Designs team in September of 2022, shortly after graduating from Augustana College. Jack has increased his expertise of the industry and applies his learned skills in his role as Sales Representative. His day-to-day roles include customer support, project coordination, marketing coordination, and marketing execution. Jack also assists the Axis team with duties such as trade show coordination, product management, and occasionally, installation.

Jack’s main goals are to create a seamless experience for customers throughout the sales and project execution process. He also strives to successfully market the Axis Designs ethos to a large audience.

Axis Designs, Inc. is a second-generation, family-owned business that has been manufacturing and creating café and breakroom space since 1979.

Today, Axis Designs, Inc. is an industry leader providing comprehensive design, consulting, building, manufacturing, and installation of fixtures and equipment that enable our clients to deliver creative retail solutions for building a better workplace environment.

Beginning at the concept design phase our designers work with clients to establish feasible, thorough, and detailed plans for a successful foodservice operation.
